Goddess of the Vines
Explore the wonders of the Vineyard with an Alexander Valley native. Bev Wasson, an experienced grower, will lead you on an educational tour of her vineyards. She will explain how wine grapes are grown. From selecting the root stock and varitial to delivery of the fruit at the wineries. Bev and her family have been actively farming wine grapes since 1972, with their first crop in 1975. However, both of her grandfather's grew grapes in this valley in the early 1900's and two of her great grandfather's grew grapes here in the 1870's. Join her on a fun and educational day in the vineyards and visiting some of her favorite local wineries.

KRCB Public Television for the North Bay
Thanks very much for stopping by. We here at KRCB Television and Radio are extremely proud of our service to our communities and are pleased to share with you how we make it all happen. You may have seen our mission statement elsewhere on this web site, but to repeat: "In order to encourage full participation in society and community, KRCB provides educational, informational, and cultural telecommunications services in partnership with our community." In other words, KRCB is all about using the power of the broadcast media which we steward to encourage participation in our community. Too often electronic media separates and isolates each of us from one another. We are trying, for 20 years now, to do things differently at KRCB. Nancy Dobbs - President and CEO The people who are listed on the following pages are the ones who make it all happen - Board, staff, and hundreds of unnamed volunteers. We encourage you to be in touch with any of us with ideas, suggestions, critiques, or a pat on the back. We look forward to serving you for another 20 years!
Insalata's Restaurant - San Anselmo, CA
Insalata's, an upscale Mediterranean venue, is located in San Anselmo, California, about twenty minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Though the name may invoke images of a Mexican salad bar, it is in fact the maiden name of Executive Chef and Owner Heidi Insalata Krahling and was named such to honor her late father, Italo Insalata. About Heidi and the Food Heidi grew up in the farm belt of Ventura County where her father often cooked for huge Knights of Columbus dinners and other charitable events. Food, cooking and community are cornerstones of her life. Of Italian heritage, she became familiar with Mediterranean flavors at an early age. She developed her love affair of the Mediterranean while a chef at Square One, under the tutelage of Joyce Goldstein. Opening Insalata’s in 1996 was a natural step in her culinary career. The creation of Insalata’s was all about timing. “You just know when it’s time to work for yourself.” Heidie Krahling - Executive Chef / Owner
DaVero Ingredienti
Ingredienti Ask any chef: it's all about ingredients. The best things come from the best ingredients. And the secret ingredient is passion. Since 1990 we've been creating ingredients with passion. From our Dry Creek Estate extra virgin olive oil, for which we imported trees from Tuscany and planted them on our Sonoma County farm, to our Pollo Rosso red wine, which we created after tasting over 300 samples, to our True Castille Soap, which is completely handmade with over 85% olive oil - each is a product we created for ourselves first. We hope you'll enjoy them as much as we do. Ridgely Evers and Colleen McGlynn

Downtown Bakery & Creamery - Healdsburg, CA
The Downtown Bakery and Creamery opened in Healdsburg in 1987. Our desire to create an old fashioned full-service bakery with an emphasis on the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients determined our extensive product line. We offer handmade, slow rise breads made from all organically grown, freshly milled flours and natural sourdough starters. We make breakfast pastries, like sticky buns, croissants, scones, and muffins from scratch, baked fresh every morning, not the afternoon before. A full coffee and tea service is available.
